McBryde Corporation Pty Ltd Occupational Health and Safety Policy is built on the understanding that with the assistance and cooperation of management and employees, it is feasible to provide a safe working environment, where injuries to personnel and damage to plant and equipment can be reduced to low as reasonably practicable.

This policy is in reference to the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999, Coal Mining Safety and Health Regulations 2001, Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995, Workplace Health and Safety Regulations 2008 and associated Australian Standards and Codes of Practice.

McBryde Corporation Pty Ltd is committed to the creation and maintenance of an incident free work environment. The foundations of the environment are:

• Policies and procedures that form an integral part of the production process;
• Hazard identification and the implementation of controls in the normal course of duties;
• Employment and development of personnel capable and confident to perform duties typical of the McBryde Corporations Pty Ltd work environment;
• Planning of daily activities to ensure the provision of adequate information and equipment to perform duties in a safe and efficient manner;
• Regular inspection of plant and equipment to ensure safety and reliability of service;
• Open communication between management, supervision and employees;
• Personal responsibility and accountability for safe work practices by all personnel;
• Compliance with equal employment opportunities;
• Care and attention to employee rehabilitation; and
• Due diligence in relation to alcohol and other drugs abuse in the work environment.

Continuing commitment by management and employees to the foundations of McBryde Corporation Pty Ltd Occupational Health and Safety Policy will ensure our Duty of Care to our employees and others is met as far as reasonable and practicable.

Environmental Management

The Environmental Management System to be used on the project will be designed specifically for the project and in line with the client’s management system.

Factors that need to be taken into consideration will include:

• The potentially environmentally harmful materials or substances that will be used on the project.
• The consumption or reuse of a material, the potential for spillage, discharge, emission, or noise etc.
• The scale, severity, probability and duration of any impact project activities will have on the environment.
• During the execution of the project McBryde Corporation and their employees and subcontractors are required to comply with the Environmental License issued to the Client by the Department of Environmental Planning.
